13-Year-olds charged with armed robbery in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities said two 13-year-old boys robbed a Charlotte convenience store at gunpoint and were arrested minutes later.

WCNC-TV reported that the suspects robbed the Quick Mart in the 2500 block of Freedom Drive around 9:20 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the suspects demanded money and then ran out of the business, but were found by officers shortly later.

WSOC-TV reported that both have been charged with armed robbery and taken to a juvenile detention center. Their names will not be released due to their ages.
