Hundreds of students line the streets in Elon to honor first responders

ELON, N.C. — 650 students from the Alamance-Burlington Schools lined the streets to honor first responders on Wednesday during the sixth annual Heroes Parade.

Students were decked out in red, white and blue–and waved flags, held signs and gave thanks to those who keep us safe by serving the community.

Students from Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary, Elon Elementary, Western Middle and Western High were along the route.
