It's going to be a very warm start to the work week -- and even hotter weather is on the way.

TimelineHighs Monday will soar to the upper-80s by the afternoon under partly-cloudy skies.  You may notice the humidity is higher Monday as well. Dew point temperatures are in the mid- to upper-60s -- so it will feel muggier for the next several days.

Monday night, skies will be mostly clear and some patchy fog may develop toward daybreak. Low temperatures are expected to remain mild, in the upper-60s.

Warmer weather is on the way for a big chunk of the week ahead. Highs, Tuesday through Thursday, will be in the upper-80s and lower-90s in the Piedmont. The higher humidity will make it feel quite summery through this time frame, but cooler weather will surge into North Carolina for the weekend!
