Rockingham Co. man assaulted during home break-in

RUFFIN, N.C. — Rockingham County deputies said they’re looking for two suspects who broke into a home Wednesday night and assaulted a man.

Deputies said it happened to a man at home with his children around 7:20 p.m. on Mt. Carmel Church Road in Ruffin.

Deputies said the victim was upstairs when he heard the male suspects come inside. The victim walked into the living room and was pushed down by the suspects, who then left, officials said.

Deputies said nothing appears to be taken from the home. The investigation is ongoing.
