Papa John’s delivery driver robbed at gunpoint in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police say a pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night in Winston-Salem.

The robbery was reported shortly after 6:45 p.m. at a condominium complex at 1980 Crest Hollow Drive. The victim, a Papa John’s delivery driver, told police he was delivering a pizza at the complex when he was robbed by three men.

Police say one of the suspects displayed a black handgun before demanding the food the victim was carrying. The suspects ran away with the food after a brief struggle with the victim.

The victim suffered a small puncture wound to his side as a result of the struggle, police said. He was treated at the scene by EMS.

Ample suspect descriptions were not available.
