GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A fundraiser geared toward helping veterans and their animals will be held this weekend in Greensboro.

The event, which includes live music, a culinary showcase and a silent auction, will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Carolina Theatre.

Proceeds benefit the Patriot Rovers, a non-profit based in Guilford County that rescues dogs, names them after fallen soldiers, and trains them to be service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries.
