Browns Summit man charged in stabbing

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say a Browns Summit man has been charged in connection with an assault that occurred late Sunday night in Greensboro.

According to police, the stabbing was reported shortly before 11:30 p.m. at 3901 North Church St.

The victim, 28-year-old Preston Louis Surgeon, told police he was arguing with 31-year-old Stephen Antwuan Bolton when Bolton attacked him with a knife.

Surgeon suffered injuries that were not life-threatening as a result of the attack, police said. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

Police say Bolton was taken into custody at 2957 Cottage Place. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police ask that anyone with additional information about the incident would call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
