Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say a man was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in Greensboro.

The crash was reported shortly before 6:45 a.m. on Hilltop Road between Sellers Avenue and High Point Road.

Police say the person who was hit was a homeless man who was pushing a shopping cart. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Hilltop Road was closed between Sellers Avenue and High Point Road for several hours following the accident.
