Days of rain and cooler temperatures led to lackluster attendance at Winston-Salem pools.

The city says attendance at its seven pools was down about 10,000 visitors from last summer. Pool workers say even a reduced admission price in June and July didn’t provide a boost in attendance.

Pool attendance throughout Greensboro remained about the same as last summer. The city anticipates attendance will drop this month, as students head back to school.
