Man found shot to death in Eden home; suspect arrested

EDEN, N.C. — Deputies say a suspect has been arrested after a man was found shot to death inside an Eden home.

According to the sheriff’s office, Perry Junior Mark, 27, was taken into custody shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of Johnny Eugene Clark, 36.

Deputies say they were called to Mark’s home at 13734 N.C. Highway 87 shortly after 4:15 p.m. Monday. They found Clark dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside.

Mark is charged with voluntary manslaughter.
