Police: Man fired gun at kids before stealing bike

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are searching for a man who reportedly fired a gun at a group of children before stealing one of the kids’ bicycle.

The incident was reported just after 11:15 p.m. in the area of Summit Avenue and Fourth Street.

The victim’s father told police his son and four other juveniles were approached by a man who yelled “Las Norf” before he started firing a handgun at the children. The victim dropped his bicycle and ran away, after which police say the suspect left with the victim’s bicycle.

Nobody was injured, police said.

An ample suspect description was not available.
