‘Booze It and Lose It’ campaign begins Friday

The N.C. State Highway Patrol will kick off the “Booze it and Lose It” campaign Friday.

DWI checkpoints are expected on the roads, especially near boating areas.

Officers will focus on impaired drivers, as well as seat belt violations, child restraint violations, speeding, driving with revoked licenses and other traffic and drug violations.

The campaign runs through September 2.
