CINCINNATI, Ohio -- A casino in Cincinnati gave out three $1 million prizes as part of a promotional giveaway, but one of the prizes was given to the wrong man.

Kevin Lewis was named the second of the three $1 million winners. Casino officials gave the $1 million check to a man named Kevin Lewis -- but it wasn’t the right one.

The Kevin Lewis who was supposed to win was home at the time the winners were announced.

A spokesman for the casino says it was a rare case of mistaken identity. The two men were similar in age and the second Kevin Lewis’s name even cleared the casino’s two-step verification process.

The casino ended up keeping everyone happy by awarding both Kevin Lewises $1 million.
