Scaffolding collapses at NC high school, 8 injured

McDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. — WLOS is reporting a scaffolding at McDowell High School collapsed on Monday, injuring as many as 8 people.

According to the report, 15 people were on the scaffolding when it fell. Some of those individuals were able to jump up on a nearby wall so they didn’t fall, however 8 workers fell 35-50 feet.

Two workers were airlifted and six others were transported by ambulance.
