Police: Teens tried robbing woman at gunpoint in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery that took place early Sunday in Burlington.

The victim told police the suspects, who were later identified as Kyle McNeil, 16, and Joshua Banks Turner, 18, tried robbing her at gunpoint around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Ireland Street and Fairfax Drive.

Police say the teens were found and arrested in the area a short time later after the victim and a witness provided descriptions of the suspects.

The suspects are both charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. They are being held in the Alamance County Jail under $25,000 secured bonds.
