THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Dispatchers say nobody was injured Wednesday morning when a small plane went off the runway at Hiatt Airport in Davidson County.

According to Davidson County EMS, wet conditions on the runway caused the single-engine plane to skid into a tree.

Hiatt Airport is located at 701 Myrtle Drive.

FOX8 has a photographer at the scene, but officials are not letting him near the crash site.
