Teen charged with stealing $35K in parts from Thomasville airport

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A 17-year-old girl from Thomasville has been accused of stealing airplane parts valued at $35,000 from an airport in Davidson County, according to the Lexington Dispatch.

The-Dispatch reports Correy Rae Prince is accused of stealing mufflers, fuel tanks, nose gear, electrical wire, steel plates and “other miscellaneous metals” from the airport at Hiatt Airport on Myrtle Drive.

The suspect allegedly sold some of the stolen pieces as scrap metal at a recycling center in Thomasville.

Prince is charged with breaking and entering, felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor larceny.

She received a $10,000 unsecured bond.
