Planning board approves proposal for historical district in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — The proposed Park Place Historical District is now one step closer to becoming a reality.

During a meeting on Monday, the city’s planning board approved a proposal that will recommend the designation of a proposed historical district to the Lexington City Council.

The proposed district will run from South State to West Center streets and West Third to South Payne streets.
