Man robbed at gunpoint outside home in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police say a Winston-Salem man was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning outside his home.

The robbery was reported just before 3:45 a.m. in the 4800 block of Cobble Creek Circle.

The victim told police he was walking to the front door of his home when he heard a noise behind him. When the victim turned around, he said the suspect was pointing a handgun at him.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim before running away. The victim was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks between the ages of 25 and 30 who stood between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall and weighed between 150 and 170 pounds. He had his face covered and was wearing a red shirt at the time of the robbery.
