Woman charged in Greensboro stabbing

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police say a woman has been charged after a stabbing left a man seriously hurt.

According to police, officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 2200 block of Tuscaloosa Street.

When they arrived, police say they found a 39-year-old man who had been stabbed during a struggle with the suspect. The victim suffered “serious injuries” as a result of the attack, police said. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance to be treated.

Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Camilla Whitaker. She was detained at the scene and later charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
