We'll have plenty of clouds around Wednesday, but shower and thunderstorm chances will hover around 25 percent through the afternoon.

The humidity remains high Wednesday and temperatures will be soundly in the mid-80s.

Wednesday night, rain chances increase to 40 percent with rainfall totals between 1/10" and 1/4" overnight. Expect mild low temperatures by daybreak, near 71 degrees.

Thursday offers our best chance of rain -- a 70 percent chance -- through the day, and some of the activity on radar may be thunderstorms. While widespread severe weather is not in the forecast, some thunderstorms may be strong. Gusty winds will be the primary trend in some of those stronger storms. Total rainfall will be between 1/2" and 3/4" and high temperatures will be in the mid-80s.

Over the 5-day period, the rainfall forecast brings 1" to 1-1/2" of rain to area gauges. High temperatures will remain in the mid-80s through the weekend.
