LINCOLN, N.H. — A Yadkinville man is being treated for a head injury he suffered while hiking in New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department says 54-year-old James Page of Yadkinville tripped and fell Wednesday morning along the Garfield Ridge Trail near Mount Lafayette, hitting his head on a rock.

An Appalachian Mountain Club employee he met called for help and took Page to one of the club’s huts, where he was treated.

Page was able to walk to a parking area where he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
