New SciQuarium turns out record crowds

GREENSBORO, N.C.–The opening weekend of the SciQuarium turned out record crowds for the Greensboro Science Center,

Saturday set a single day record of 2,755 people. The previous record for a single day was 2,700 set in 2006.

Sunday saw another 2,417 enter the center, bringing the weekend total to 4,172.

The attendance surge is continuing into this week–Steffany Reeve the Marketing and Advertising Manager for the Science Center said the parking lot was at capacity again on Monday.
