GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Runners took to the streets of Greensboro on Saturday for the Freedom Run 10K, an event that honors military personnel and veterans.

Among the runners was Beth Deloria, who is partially paralyzed in one leg.

Deloria – a well-known runner in the Piedmont – used a special device to help her cross the finish line.

“Imagine what this technology can do for your life, putting you back to work, playing with your grandkids, the things that make your lives better,” she said.

More than 100 businesses sponsored the event.
