Wildlife Resource Commission officers are cracking down on drinking and driving–not just on the roads, but on the water too.

Officers will be out in full force this weekend on High Rock Lake, as part of the “Operation Dry Water” nationwide campaign, which is designed to remind boaters that operating a boat while impaired is dangerous and illegal.

Penalties include up to a $1,000 fine and possible jail time.
