Winston-Salem woman charged in stabbing

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem accused of stabbing a woman in the back with a kitchen knife was arrested Friday, according to The Winston-Salem Journal.

Shanice Nicole Miller, 19, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

The victim received injuries to her liver, lower intestine and left lung and underwent emergency surgery. Her condition Saturday was unknown.

Miller is in Forsyth County Jail with a bond set at $50,000. She faces a July 18 appearance in Forsyth District Court.
