John Ross Eddy, 58 of Tega Cay

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A Charlotte-area janitor is accused of hiding cameras in the women’s locker rooms at two different YMCA facilities to watch women undress.

Heraldonline.com reported that John Ross Eddy, 58, of Tega Cay, allegedly installed cameras at the Lake Wylie YMCA and the Gold Hill YMCA in Fort Mill.

The suspect was arrested earlier this month after managers found a camera hidden at the Lake Wylie facility.

While investigating that case, officials said they determined the suspect also installed a camera in the ceiling at the Gold Hill YMCA.

An additional 74 voyeurism charges were filed against the suspect and Eddy reportedly turned himself into law officials on Saturday.

The cases reportedly involve 40 victims; however detectives said they could not be identified.
