Lexington police investigate shooting at Best Food Mart

Lexington police are on the scene of an apparent shooting Sunday afternoon reported at the Best Food Mart at 203 Raleigh Road.

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Lexington police said they are investigating a shooting Sunday afternoon that resulted in two men being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the shooting was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Best Food Mart at 203 Raleigh Road.

Police said when they arrived, they found the two male victims injured, one 23 and the other 19.

Authorities said one was treated and released from Lexington Medical Center and the other at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
