A man is defeating the odds -- by conquering the sport of Tae Kwon Do with one leg.

Jerry Newcomb is a 53-year-old Tae Kwon Do student from Oregon who lost his right leg in a bike accident a year-and-a-half ago.

Newcomb is now a green belt and many say he is serving as an inspiration for them.

"You know, you just have to have a positive attitude. Sometimes you get discouraged, but always maintain the positive,” he said.
