HIGH POINT, N.C. — A new program that hopes to help homeless families in High Point has recently opened up.

The Family Promise of Greater Guilford County opened up the Day Center a few weeks ago in the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church.

In the new program, families will have access to showers, laundry facilities and be able to use the internet and telephone.

Officials with the program said they hope to help families begin to put their lives back together as it relates to finding housing and work.

Families must apply for those services through the Family Promise Program.
