Man found with multiple gunshot wounds in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police said a man was arrested after allegedly shooting another man multiple times and injuring him early Saturday morning.

Greensboro police said 31-year-old Robert Allen Woolridge is accused of shooting 29-year-old Wayne Deago McAuley.

Police said McAuley was found suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the yard after responding to a home at 2509 Rowe St. shortly before 6 a.m.

Officials said McAuley was taken to a hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Authorities said Woolridge was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injuries.     

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
