ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C.– Republican Congressman Howard Coble was in Rockingham County Wednesday discussing energy with his constituents and touring Duke Energy’s Belews Creek Stream Station, on the border of Stokes and Rockingham counties.

Coble said he wanted to gain a greater appreciation for how his district’s power structure works.

“I think often times, we and I’m guilty of it and most Americans are, guilty of being very casual about energy. We take it for granted. You throw a switch and the light comes on. One day we may throw a switch and the darkness may prevail. That’s very frightening to think about,” Coble said.

Coble will meet with constituents tomorrow in Greensboro.
