Police: Man hits woman before stealing purse, SUV

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly struck a woman before stealing her purse and vehicle in Greensboro.

The incident was reported shortly after 10 p.m. in the 10000 block of Alamance Church Road.

The victim told police she was struck in the back of the head before the male suspect took her purse and keys.  The suspect then got inside the victim’s SUV and drove away.

The suspect was last seen heading west on Alamance Church Road toward U.S. Highway 421 in the victim’s vehicle.

The vehicle is a gold 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.

The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries as a result of being struck, police said.

No ample suspect description was available.
