Police: Man shot in leg after dispute in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police said they are investigating an assault that left a man shot in the leg late Saturday night.

Police said they found the 37-year-old victim after being called to the corner of East Market Street and Raleigh Street around 11:30 p.m.

Officials said the shooting began as a dispute at Tienda Hispana La Popular, a Hispanic business at 2219 E. Market St., and continued outside.

Police have not released the condition of the victim. They said he was shot in the lower leg.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-35 years old, standing 5`4″ and weighing 150 pounds.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call Crime stoppers at 373-1000.
