Man shot multiple times in Greensboro; suspect sought

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man was multiple times late Wednesday night in Greensboro.

According to police, officers responded shortly after 11:45 p.m. to a report of an assault at 803 West Florida St.

When they arrived, police say they found a man who had been shot multiple times in both of his legs.

Police say there was an altercation between the victim and suspect at the address.  After the altercation, the victim followed the suspect into the parking lot where the shooting took place, police said.

The victim’s injuries are serious, but not life-threatening, police said.  He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a heavyset black male with a dark complexion standing about 6’2″ tall.  He was wearing a white T-shirt and lack shorts at the time of the incident.

No other details were provided.
