KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- A gym in Kernersville is offering a free program for people fighting cancer that are healthy enough to workout.

Triangle Fitness is starting a program for any cancer patients. They must sign a waiver and get a note from their doctor.

Amy Elliott has LeioMyoSarcoma, a rare cancer that attacks soft tissue. She was first diagnosed in 2008. It's back for a third time.

The staff at Triangle Fitness said the program was inspired by Amy.

“It’s not about how many reps you can do or how much weight you can lift, it’s about taking back a little of what’s yours,” Elliott said.
