Woman arrested in Greensboro stabbing
GREENSBORO, N.C. — A woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Tuesday night during a fight in Greensboro.
According to police, 21-year-old Chanell Monique Wall is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
The suspect is being held under a $150,000 secured bond in the Guilford County Jail.
Police say they responded shortly before 9 p.m. to reports of “a large-scale disturbance” at 716 Marsh St.
When officers arrived, police say they they encountered a large crowd that was “in the process of dispersing.”
“The officers located items at the scene that indicated some sort of fight had occurred,” police said.
Shortly afterward, police say they were notified that a woman with stab wounds checked into a local hospital. The wounds were serious, but they are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
The victim received the stab wounds during the disturbance on Marsh Street, police said.
