Police: Winston-Salem business robbed at gunpoint

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police said they are looking for a man accused of robbing a Winston-Salem grocery store at gunpoint Sunday night.

Police said the suspect entered the J and J Food Mart at 2022 S. Broad St. around 8:30 p.m. and demanded money from the cashier.

Winston-Salem police said the suspect obtained an undetermined amount of cash and left.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’10” and wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and a black ski mask. Police said he was armed with a handgun.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
