FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities in Forsyth County said a car crashed into a vacant home Monday morning near the Winston-Salem city limits.

Police said it happened at 5611 Bethania Road around 7:43 a.m. after a man passed out in a parking lot across from the home.

Authorities said the car somehow got into reverse, backed across the street, went down a ditch and into the yard before hitting the house.

No injuries were reported. Police said the unoccupied house is in foreclosure. They estimated about $10,000 worth of damage to the home.

Officials said the 53-year-old driver did not have any injuries that required treatment, but he was treated for a medial-related issue. They said he pulled over after not feeling well.
