NC man dies in skydiving accident

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. — Local and federal authorities are investigating the death of a man killed in a skydiving accident Sunday morning in eastern North Carolina.

WNCT reported that Frank Albert Plisko, 56, of Newport, died around 11:20 a.m. at the Martin County Airport.

Plisko was described as a veteran skydiver and a skydiving instructor for Tradewind Sky Sports. Friends said he was skydiving with his sons when he died.

Neighbors said Plisko was retired from the army special forces. They said he was an adventurous man who loved the outdoors.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
