Smith High principal resigns

GREENSBORO, N.C.–Noah Rogers, the principal of Smith High School in Greensboro, has resigned.

Rogers has served as principal of the school since February of 2006.

Anitra Walker, executive director of the Central Region and the former principal of Northeast High School, has been named interim principal of Smith High School. She will remain in this position for the remainder of the school year while the district conducts a search for a new principal.

Tony Watlington, strategic planning officer and former executive director of the Central Region, will take on additional responsibilities as interim executive director of the Central Region until Walker returns to the position.
