CANAL FULTON, Ohio -- Dillie the Domesticated Deer: That's what some have taken to calling a doe who was taken in by a couple who found her near death and nursed her back to health. reports Dillie has been living in the home of veterinarian Melanie Butera and her husband for the past nine years.

Butera tells the station Dillie "was comatose" when they found her.  "Her body temperature didn't even register," Butera said.

Now, Butera calls Dillie her "girl," while her husband, Steve Heathman, calls himself Dillie's "dad," the station reports.

The couple went as far as to set Dillie up with her own bedroom.  They also established a webcam so those who are interested can watch her "natural indoor habitat" at any hour of the day, reports.
