Police: Convenience store in Kernersville robbed

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Police said they are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store Saturday morning in Kernersville.

Authorities said the suspect entered the Pop Shoppe at 1557 Union Cross Road around 6 a.m. and told the clerk he had a gun, demanding money.

Police said he took an undisclosed amount of cash and left.

A description of the suspect was not released. The investigation is ongoing.
