Man arrested for shooting girlfriend in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A man was arrested after police said he shot his girlfriend in the chest at their Greensboro home early Saturday morning.

Authorities said 27-year old James Brandon Brown has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said the shooting happened in the 1300 block of Ardmore Drive at around 1 a.m.

Authorities said the victim’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
