Person killed in Greensboro homicide

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Thursday as a homicide.

Police say they responded just after 12:45 a.m. to a report of shots fired at 211 Wind Road.

When they arrived, police say they found a male victim in the breezeway of the Autumn Ridge Apartment Complex near 221 Wind Road.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken by ambulance to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No other details were immediately available.
