DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Davidson County man is accused of committing sex offenses with a 14-year-old girl after her parents reported her missing earlier this year.

The Lexington Dispatch reported that Treaver David Smith, 26, of Arcadia, has been charged with five counts of felony statutory rape/sex offense and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The crimes allegedly occurred between Jan. 23 and Feb. 7. Authorities allege the suspect caused the girl to run away from her home.

The paper reported that the suspect was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond and has court planned for April 9.
