Runners drenched during 5K paint race in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- It’s the largest 5K paint race in the world and it happened Saturday in Winston-Salem.

The Color Run 5K is a race where runners are drenched in everything from blue to green to red.

Organizers said the event benefits Big Brother and Big Sisters, a youth mentoring organization.

The event has become one of the most popular races in the country with more than 600,000 runners across the U.S.
