GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Hundreds made it out to the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro on Saturday for the annual battlefield reenactment.
But there was a surprise -- a couple from High Point got married in between the cannons with muskets firing at the National Greene Monument.
John and Tia Oakley said they got the idea after seeing a similar wedding in colonial Williamsburg.
“We are friends of the park. We come here and also dance in the park. It was a great way to respect the tradition,” Tia said.
The battlefield reenactment continues Sunday at Military Park.
