CUMBERLAND COUNTY — A Cumberland County woman is facing charges after authorities say she drove while under the influence with her children in the car and filed a false police report, according to WTVD.

The woman called 911 Thursday morning to report that her 5-year-old daughter was taken from her car while she was inside a Kangaroo convenience store.

When officials arrived at the store around 8:30 a.m., they found the woman’s other child inside the vehicle unharmed.

Authorities later found the child at a day care, where her mother had dropped her off minutes before calling 911 about the disappearance, according to the report.

The woman has been charged with child endangerment, DUI and misuse of the 911 communications system.
