Cocaine, marijuana seized from Burlington apartment; 4 charged
BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police say four suspects were charged after they found cocaine and marijuana inside a Burlington apartment.
According to police, officers went to an apartment at 407 East Sixth St. shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday to serve an arrest warrant.
While at the apartment, police say they developed probable cause to search the apartment for drugs. The occupants were detained and a search warrant was issued, police said.
During the search, police say they found 20.9 grams of cocaine, less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana, cash and surveillance equipment.
Three suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure.
Antonio Marquet Griffin, 22, and Michael James Corbett, 33, were both charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and manufacturing cocaine.
Joshua Lee Thompson, 27, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corbett and a fourth suspect, Brandon Sintel Richmond, were also charged with possession of marijuana. Police said Richmond was issued a citation.
